I'm pretty sure this post violates the rules of the subreddit, but that would depend on the pandemic itself and the way it was responded to. Generally the answer would be no, or yes, but because output dropped so much that it destroyed most wealth. (Which would be a very bad pandemic for everyone)

Policies enacted in response to a pandemic could decrease inequality, but the pandemic would be causing that through political factors, not economic ones.

From what I can see, the answer for Covid is no, it has widened inequality.
