Yeah, while this specific incident doesn’t look like a symptom of cognitive decline, I think it’s fair to be wondering if other incidents do actually point to cognitive decline. Although personally I find it hard to distinguish between what part of this is just him being a moron who has always been the type to go off on tangents vs. what are actual symptoms of cognitive decline we can see in him.  The most concerning thing to me is when he trips up on a word, can’t grasp saying it correctly, and will glitch past it onto to saying something else. There’s no other explanation for that kind of thing imo and it absolutely looks like a speech type of cognitive health issue. As it is now, as much as I think the guy is a danger to the country, in terms of healthwise I don’t think the occasional glitches necessarily mean he couldn’t serve out another term. If this is something that will get progressively worse as cognitive issues and dementia tend to do, that would be concerning however. And I agree that he would likely not surround himself with people who would invoke 25A if and when it became legitimately applicable. Which adds another potential disaster to a second Trump term.

If the media is going to talk about this kind of thing, which I think is fair to address, I just wish they’d do it more fairly. This article feels very similar to a rage bait conservative article about some incident of Biden being overly forgetful that turns out to be bullshit. It’s just the mirror image of a bad NY Post article.
