Seeing a lot of people here throwing around this term “fiat collapse” as if this is an imminent phenomenon. Fiat collapse?

What does this even mean? Some post apocalyptic world where a dollar bill does nothing but you can still buy canned beans with BTC? Or some time in the future where the US declares BTC as its official currency, triggering a world wide adoption of crypto?

1 BTC is literally worth $65k. And the only consistently proven use case of BTC is a (admittedly volatile) digital store of value where the only reassurance you have is that you can always sell your BTC for fiat. Until this changes, which it likely won’t (crypto makes up 0.3% of the money supply and its supply is by design exponentially decreasing) crypto will not save you from this “fiat collapse” you speak of. People with guns and farms will be far “wealthier” than some BTC bag holder sitting on 1.5 BTC.

Am I hodling BTC? Yes. Am i hoping for a “fiat collapse” so my crypto “go up”? No.
