It’s been a while since I studied physics, but my understanding is that velocity is a vector and a change in velocity (“delta v”) is an acceleration/deceleration. If there was no acceleration/deceleration, the velocity would remain constant. So why do people say “delta V” instead of just “acceleration/deceleration”? I mean…it does sound cooler, I guess.
