I’m shocked a state or even the federal government hasn’t put more emphasis on tax incentives for having a kid.

Like, for say 1-3 years upon childbirth, your federal income tax is capped at $10k (no income level phase outs).

Would literally solve our demographic issues in ~10 years.

A $2k tax credit when daycare is 10-30k a year is borderline slap in the face.
