Does anyone else with access to the connected apps and the new data analysis have actual use cases for it?

I've got access but it seems pretty useless to me. It seems to only work well with pure raw data, extracts data as values only and doesn't contain formulas. Any edits you try to make to the data can only be exported as a separate file, and not saved to the cloud file.

It seems it's capabilities can be easily done by anyone who knows how to use Google sheet / excel, and anyone who actually works with data would need to have editable working files to make on-going changes.

I don't really see many use cases except for people that need to sync across datasets, run one-off static insights, or for people that don't work with data and don't know how to use sheet/excel. But how often would those latter people need to manipulate data anyway.

Am I missing anything here?
