To be fair, San Fransisco *also* has a statue, but it's different.
The statue in Berlin is a specific "Statue of Peace" that's common in Korea. Most major cities have one.
It's a girl in a hanbok sitting in a chair with an empty chair beside her.
I'm not saying anything about the SF statue not being valid or anything, but just clarifying that the one in Berlin is a *very specific* type of statue based on the original Comfort Women statue. It represents the treatment of women under Japanese control, but it also represents all violence against women.
Which, in my opinion, makes it even worse if they remove it.
