We've only ever convicted *13* people of treason and nobody has been executed for treason since the Civil War. The last guy to be executed for it was William Bruce Mumford for tearing down the US flag in New Orleans after the Union captured the city from the Confederacy. The others were some Taos insurgents back in 1847, during the Mexican-American War.
