It’s buckwild to think an index fund OF THE WHOLE MARKET would be less diversified than you picking random stocks of companies you heard about on the news and think are the “top companies” in that sector. I’m willing to bet, you’d pick a few tech companies and maybe an auto maker and think that’s diversified.
