I really wish you understood half as much as you think you do about the incarceration systems in this country.
Ima cut to the chase. I’ve been working in corrections for more than a decade. I work primarily in prisons, but I’ve been loaned out to some jails from time to time too. You are right that a jail is not a prison and you’re varying degrees of wrong about every conclusion you have created from that fact. The fact that I am in a different state from that-one-guy-you-know is irrelevant because there is no huge fundamental difference in this regard between any two states.
…and I am confident that this is gonna bounce right off your ego so I think I am done tilting at this particular windmill. I hope things go better for you in the future.
