People keep saying this to the point I'm starting to think it's propaganda. How about we start with only taking in care workers? We don't need tens of thousands of Indian IT workers being given visas, we have an entire country of people struggling to find jobs in white collar fields like that already. We need construction workers to build houses, and care workers to care for the eldery. How about we only give visa's to people in those fields?

Secondly, Japan has an incredibly tight leash on immigration while having an even worse aging problem than we do and they're doing absolutely fine. They have the safest, cleanest, quietest cities in the world, and their quality of life is insanely high. Their economy isn't growing but it's still a great economy and isn't dropping either, they're probably going to be doing better than say Germany in a few years. We don't need perpetual population growth. In fact I think we need the opposite.

All this over-immigration is doing is kicking the bucket down the road and increasing right-wing nationalist sentiments, increasing crime rates, and lowering the quality of life of everyone since no-one can find places to live anymore.
