Interesting history, I was unaware of how close it got to war. Though still, sounds like the UN only started it's mission once Indonesia did not threaten it, and it only policed the iterim goverment of a people who were happy to get a state, kind of dis similar to what we have in south Lebanon for example, where the UNIFEL force is on vacation and is not going to get into armed conflcit with Hezbollah to enforce UNSC resolution 1701.
