It doesn't make it "divensionary" just because they didn't have enough power to "threaten" Kharkiv.

And I don't understand why you write "it couldn't threaten Kharkiv", when it came into range of artillery and it shelled large apartment blocks around the city.

What makes you the king of "when Russia is in trouble"? It's not like Avdiivka is strategically important for the overall war effort. The city had been under siege since 2014 and is some 50 km. from the original Russian border. It was a difficult city to hold, when Russia could supply it from mainland Russia.

I am not sure what you mean by recovering. They have diverted to new supply routes from other countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Yes they are ramping up production but a lot of it is still old Soviet production they are maintaining and fixing. The Soviet supply is not limitless and can run out within a few years.

Nazi Germany also produced most in 1944 but it didn't mean they turned the war effort. In fact they were in retreat until Berlin and tiny pockets of 1945.
