I think it’s a little disingenuous to say “anyone who doesn’t like bitcoin should read this book” and then when you get challenged you back track and say “oh I’m just some humble guy on the internet.” Like, that’s lowkey a classic grifter tactic: present yourself as knowledgeable, then appeal to someone else’s humanity when you get called out.
Also, I really disagree with the store of facile argument. All the potential use cases around bitcoin involve transferring the coins to someone else, yet when I point out the high transaction cost or other short falls, people say “oh it’s actually a store of value like gold and not designed to be a currency.” But if all the potential use cases come from using it as a currency, why would it have any worth as a holder of value? You see how that’s a catch-22?
Finally, just because a bunch of people bought bitcoin during the pandemic and got lucky on their speculation does not inherently make it “good” it just makes those people lucky.
