The way I see it, paying taxes is the price of admission if you want to make money. But I totally understand wanting it to make a year for long term cap gains. In US, we are taxed based on our regular income tax bracket if short term and I believe 12-15% for long term. I gotta research that again. Some of my stuff is long term, other stuff like the memes need to make it til end of December but I don't really care. Better to pay 30% than lose 99% by waiting it out.
