At no point in his presidency was his economic approval at or above 70. By the end of his reign Gallup has his approval around 50%, which would be at the end result of all he had done based on your logic. Even with all that though the fallacy that the government has any real impact on our economy anymore is almost a joke. Without a declaration of war from Congress (also not the president) there are very little levers that they can pull to have any impact on inflation either way. Megacorporations see tariffs and high interest rates as the cost of doing business at best. Drops in the bucket. Profits are so astronomical in the measures of economic success sectors in the states it will take a disaster to change it.
