The same applies in this matter, most of them did not lose their home unless they are 70+ years old. There is the settler issue, which you will find most people are against, but there are also land losses due to conflict which in the majority of cases has not been triggered by Israel. They maybe fighting for their homes now, but they are unlikely fighting for the homes they lost, this is a complex matter. But I am unsure if the op you responded to meant that, and rather his focus on why fight against the land given to Israel.
As far as your checkpoint comment goes, well again we have an issue of ongoing conflict and abuse. The act of being a state also comes with the responsibility to protect not only itself internally but also to ensure the safety of other nations. It is clear that organizations like Hamas and the PA fail to protect the safety of neighboring states. In fact in some cases being the agitator.
And lastly, while blockades suck they are a valid form of political interference. Just like the sanctions in regards to Iran which is to reduce their goal of Nuclear refinement, blockades against Gaza are also targeted in some way to be Hamas to negotiate.
