Haiti also hasn't recovered either.

The problem has nothing to do with Africa. You can ask Haiti about that. Countries where America, Russia, or other colonial powers continually interfere in the region will be unstable forever because they are constant sources of instability. The US supplies Haitian gangs with guns and ammo, allowing them to fight as long as they exist (all gun problems in the Western Hemisphere are typically American guns crossing borders into the hands of criminal gangs, so you can blame the USA for Mexico too). Russia has various paramilitary groups messing around in Africa to expand their influence.

Same goes for Israel. Russia and Iran supply the Palestinians with arms while the US supplies Israel, creating perpetual conflict in the region. Same for Saudi Arabia vs Yemen.

The solution is simple, and has been simple since colonialism ended. Stop throwing wood into the fire. Stop arming people in conflicts. Human nature is such that there will always be people forming organizations to oppose other organizations, but those conflicts inevitably die out unless constantly fueled by external arms (domestic arms production doesn't fuel conflict because at some point one party will just control all the arms manufacture and win all the wars)
