Come on over to r/stopdrinking, many of us struggled with quitting and I couldn’t do it alone.

13 months ago, I (36M) was drinking a fifth a day. Then my wife told me I had a problem and she thought I needed help. Truer words have never been spoken.

The next day I went to an AA meeting in my neighborhood and started meeting with a therapist that week.

I couldn’t have done this through sheer willpower alone. I need the support of other alcoholics to keep me strong through the tough times.

I’m saying a prayer for you tonight, and sending you strength to carry on. Feel free to message me with any questions, or just to talk about something to keep your mind off the booze.
