I wouldn't mind such an article if it could get some basic facts correct. However, it appears most of it is based on opinion from other articles the author likes. Chopping up economics into "because Republicans" is honestly embarrassing, but this is likely how it ended up in Salon instead of in The Economist.

I could do the same with articles I like, but it wouldn't necessarily make my bias view any more true than the author's.

Maybe he should go back to working in the American Journal of Poetry where his artistic perception on reality would be more well-received.
