My wife and I are pretty strict with monitoring phone and internet usage with our daughter, but also have to accept that her friends can literally just hand them their own phone. 24/7. All the time. The thing that really pisses me off is kids at the freaking playground with their parents' phones. Not only is it inescapable, it is part of growing up in this generation.

We just talk to our kids and try to be open. Kids become teenagers, and then look for trouble. It's better to learn from someone who cares about them. At least give them the information to make their own choice.
