A “kickback”?
More like we’re trying to build relationships with countries to prevent China from developing alliances and flat out buying the continent of Africa.
At the end of the day, most of our efforts at buying influence just results in countries taking our “good will” and turning around and getting in bed with China the next day.
You can’t buy influence, just like how you can’t buy friends.
We just never seem to learn this lesson though; and keep doling out billions and billions of US taxpayer dollars while working Americans can’t afford a house…
We need to massively scale back our foreign spending. Period. It’s bullshit that Americans are paying taxes that are going to handouts halfway around the globe, while local bridges are cracking and collapsing and we’re arguing over school lunches for kids.
