Lol, I don’t think internet edgelord being your culture is the flex you think it is, and it’s not your everyday person who ruined the internet, it is politicians trying to create problems that need to be solved to score political points that are doing it. Plenty of these so called normies are on the front lines fighting for net neutrality, privacy laws, sex worker rights and so on. As the internet becomes a larger and larger price of everyday life (which was always going to happen) the government will inevitably have to step in because stuff like election interference (Cambridge analytica) and the worsening of our collective mental health through social media, and horrible privacy intrusions will need a governing entity to throw its weight around to protect people. If it doesn’t you get corporate capture and the other typical consequences to libertarian politics.
