Look into decentralization projects. IPFS is neat but I haven't used it yet. I2P+torrents is also cool, that's what I've been getting into recently. BiglyBT has the ability to create chat rooms tied to a torrent and can run over I2P. Keeping offline content is good but being able to propagate it and keep it alive is the only way it survives long-term.

The main issue with all these decentralized projects is only enthusiasts use it currently, stuff like this is changing that though. Oh, and Germans. Germany has some really fucked up copyright system at the moment so you'll see an inordinate amount of German dubbed stuff on the main I2P tracker. More and more that will keep happening and then things will get pretty lit.
