Probably wouldn't need those professionals if we'd as a society stop voting against our better interests. Fix our busted mental health care system, make meaningful gun regulations, and hold lawmakers just as responsible for the crimes they commit. Right now, the law is used in a way that only flows in one direction. We fucking voted our way into this. We need to fix the root problems instead of bandaid fixing everything. The outrage shouldn't stop at the police. People should be disgusted that it's even suggested that parents have to go save their children from a situation that should have been prevented.
