> Bitcoin had a complete open, free, fair market.
Nope. A fair market requires everyone having a FAIR chance. Not having any plausible way to even know something exists yet when a huge portion of it is already being claimed, is not having a fair chance in it. So not a fair market. Fuckin duh.
> Satoshi only mined when it was publicly available to do so.
When nobody knows about it or had any plausible chance TO know about it, then it was overwhelmingly not "publicly available". If I make a website but then don't tell anyone the address (but they could load the page if they somehow magically typed it in anyway), it's not "public" in any sane person's mind.
> It does make a difference if you care about decentralization.
Even aside from anything else we've been talking about, like no matter which side of the above conversation you're on, none of this has anything to do with decentralization either way. Lmao what?
Satoshi objectively has a massive portion of coins, more than Vitalik does compared to the totals available, so bitcoin is objectively more centralized just considering the founders alone. (Overall, you'd have to also consider everyone else and how tokens are distributed among all of them too, but this conversation is about founders)
Vitalik holds 0.2% of ETH, and the ethereum foundation about 0.3%. Satoshi has 5% of BTC. So BTC is MUCH more centralized and lopsided with respect to its founder, specifically. Over an order of magnitude more.
And the dogecoin foudner holds like 0.00001% or something of dogecoin.
