> open, free, fair market

I agree, neither bitcoin nor ethereum has any resemblance to having started as an open, fair, or free market even remotely.

If that's the thing you care about (for some reason. it's not even very important), **you should be a dogecoin maxi**, it was by FAR the fairest majorly recognized started coin, the creator only made a few thousand dollars off of it.

> Satoshi didn't get a single free coin

When only you and your grandma and the mailman and a couple teenagers know about something, and 99.9999999% of humanity has never had the remotest chance to even hear about it, let alone make a decision about whether they think it's a good idea, then all the mining you're doing is absolutely "free coins"

Do you honestly not realize how much of an absolute clown this argument makes you look like to any normal person on earth? Like it's literally laughable, I am laughing reading it in real life.

> Why didn't Vitalik do this?

Who cares? He got his free coins a slightly different way. He could have done it that way, released a whitepaper in a place 10 people would see it, and then set up the algorithm to front-weight huge amounts of ETH early on. Or he could have just done a pre-mine. Doesn't make a lick of difference either way, so whatever.
