If a jury of your peers says you're guilty, who the fuck cares if it is political? Can you not charge a pedo if the prosecutor has it out for pedos? If they corrupt the jury, even that wouldn't be political, that would be criminal and charge their asses too.

One unpopular opinion I have is that the government should probably cover the cost of a good defence for all former presidents. You should be able to charge a president following office, but because every Dem president will not deal with a million SLAP suits, they probably shouldn't be on the hook for them. If they are found guilty though, they would then be responsible for their own costs.
