The cdc statistics were available quite quickly, I was reviewing them in real time, and it was blatantly obvious that covid was only lethal to the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions, this was evident very early in the pandemic, things did not have to be locked down for 2 years, period, as was proven by other countries that did not lock down and had similar mortality rates without crippling their economy.
