I never said that AI is doomed or that Google should stop developing it. I never said that Google wouldn't fix its problems. I never said I was outraged.

I *like* LLM AI, and have been playing around with it for years, long before it started making headlines. This gives me a good sense of awareness of what it's useful for and what it's not, and its limitations, including its tendency to sometimes barf out bizarre and inappropriate things. Sorry if pointing out flaws is for some reason unacceptable to you.

As you said, the tech industry is good at troubleshooting, but it's also good at sensationalized hyperbole about the "next big thing," and sometimes the "next big thing" isn't everything that's promised. As I said, I enjoy screwing around sometimes with LLMs, but from a lot of firsthand experience with these things I also think they're not all they're cracked up to be. I think there's a lot of promise in AI but some companies are jumping the gun and overselling it just to try to be flashy and stay relevant. When I google something I don't want a bland, generic AI summary barfed in my face, I want to read an article written by a human being. When I want to play with AI, I want it to be something I voluntarily engage with.
