The pay thing is so weird to me. When you have a 100 candidates for History and English to the point where many districts basically make them do an extracurricular and you have like 5 for Math, Chemistry, and Physics, maybe it’s time to realize that some subjects are worth more than others because of supply and demand.

I looked into becoming a math teacher and the pay was just too low to make up for the lost time. If I had history teacher options, I’d have felt differently.
