Well, no, because if she went public, nobody would hire her out of fear of getting accused of wanting Scarlett Johansson on the cheap, I mean that's literally what this whole nonsense is about.

Lets not compare apples and oranges here, voice acting in a TV show or audio book or game is one thing, but a generative AI voice is something entirely different. It's very very different being anonymous because people MIGHT think you just sound like ChatGPT, but people would probably shrug it off. Actually knowing who the real voice is and know you can control it is a hugely different matter. I suspect (and it is a suspicion, i dont want to put words in her mouth) that this is likely Johansson's "personal reasons" that she alluded to as to why she declined the opportunity.
