Though I agree with the sentiment and it is very dumb to go to a place like Haiti in this current environment, it's not 100% proselytizing on these mission trips. It is mostly digging wells, building houses or clinics, handing out food or medical aid and other such charitable works. At least that's how it was in the 90s when I went on a couple of mission trips there. I haven't been associated with any organized religious orgs in a couple of decades so I can't say it's the same now a days. A tragedy for sure, I don't think these pour souls deserve the derision I'm seeing here in the comments.
