I have been desperately looking for a job like that to work when my husband is working, and there’s no reason not to hire me, I’m a middle aged housewife who just wants extra income. I’m willing to work *some* nights and weekends. Not a single job that I’ve interviewed with was willing to settle for anything but complete open availability, with a weekly schedule. In return I’d be promised, according to one interview at Lowe’s “anywhere between 0 and 38 hours a week”. I am not willing to trade my time with my husband with fucking cancer for pocket money. I would be an asset, I’m hugely overqualified, very personable, and used to be able to get jobs at the drop of a hat when you could just walk in, be polite and qualified and have at least a chance. \n\nEvery interviewer I’ve spoken to attempted to hire me on the spot at these jobs, but then during the expectations of hours discussing they allllways drop this info. Bearing in mind that I’m putting my availability in the application form, so they’re calling me in, interviewing me, then telling me they can’t accommodate the availability. Actually had some guy say to me “yeah I know those applications are hard to understand sometimes” EXCUSE ME LOL. I have given up, the market keeps getting worse and I’m demoralized at not even getting a job at fucking Ross despite running a successful retail store in a large city for years. \n\nTldr, I would LOVE to be a cashier, they have cut down on staffing so much that they won’t consider any candidates that won’t guarantee all their time to them on a weeks notice.",
