Ether can be a store of value (it is) and a medium of exchange.

The last 6 years have show what exactly? That despite all the new blockchains that actually are more than a one trick pony still cant compete with Ethereum? That's embarrassing if you think about it given how long it takes an ERC to come to fruition. Ethereum is the giant elephant that moves slowly yes, but it moves with purpose and direction and will eventually scale on layer 1.

Everything else is basicallay noise or leeching of Ethereum to the point they don't really matter.

What the last six years has shown is that there's room for Bitcoin, and there's room for the settlement layer of the internet. Both are important but one has essentially unlimited use-cases, while the other is decentralzied money that has doesn't scale without losing security or reliablity.
