I think that's true for some, and totally not true for others. A subset of the "not-true-for" people will do as you say, i.e. vote Biden, or not vote for President at all, but vote GOP down-ticket. Some will stay home.

I would still bet that a majority - say simply >50% - will fall in line. They can always rationalize it on some "she will be the adult" yada yada reasoning.
