I always find the hype about AI will kill coding to be weird. We've progressively made coding simpler and simpler and relied more and more on the libraries of other people over the years. Very few of the people developing a game with the unreal engine are capable of quickly banging out a game in assembly like they did back in the sega/nintendo era. We've mostly seen this as a good thing.

I imagine AI is going to just move this in a newer direction. You will still need to plot out the game and story and everything, but the AI will be able to make recommendations for how to make it happen. Regex is a great example. Regex is literally "regular expressions", but most regex looks like this: `[b-chm-pP]at|ot` to mean "contains {bat, cat, hat, mat, nat, oat, pat, Pat, ot}". Thats not a "regular expression. Most users just want to say "find all words that contain bat, cat, hat, mat, nat, oat, pat, Pat, or ot. AI can do that easily
