This question is purely out of curiosity/interest

I wil be graduating with a masters specializing in ML from Cambridge in the UK, which is "up there" in the ranks. My masters project builds on top of some work done by a phd student of my supervisor from 3 yrs ago who now works at OAI (I don't really have any contact with him tho). He joined OAI before all the "hype", so I am presuming it wasn't as difficult to get in as now.

I am intersted in the prospect of trying to get a job there, but I want to know if they hire grads? Or will I have to go back and do a PhD. I am more interested in the software side rather than research, would rather be an "Engineer" than a "Scientist".

I've currently got a job lined up at a fairly well known AI company in the UK and will work on that for a bit.

Is there any real chance of OAI considering me if I don't have a PhD??

Also if anyone has any advice on "sliding into" this guys linkedin DMs and trying to get an referral, I would be interested. It just seems pretty awkward to me
