Difficult question. My brother is still in the city, but he's renting and I kinda stopped paying attention to how it was going up there.

I have a house in an east LA suburb as well, it's been in my family since the 50s but it's estimated at 1.65 or so. The market is too insane for me to think about right now too much, but I guess with that property I might become familiar again soon. The issue is it's basically a teardown and rebuild due to what the neighborhood has become, so the house itself is not valuable, it's just the land. Though I actually like the house and would take it in a heartbeat so I could be a dick to those recent McMansion neighbors.
