Did any of you even bother reading the article?

That's great that you and other teachers who have been around a while are making so much but that just simply has nothing whatsoever to do with the issues raised in this article. In fact one of the issues raised in the article is that teachers are being paid 20% less than 20 years ago and their salary isn't keeping pace with inflation. They aren't talking about teachers with decades of experience they are specifically talking about NEW teachers.

I have to wonder why some of you are getting so defensive. Are you worried newer teachers might god forbid get paid as much as you?
