Won’t take the time or don’t have the skills. Which is fine, there are plenty of skills I don’t have and things I’d rather not do myself.

But yeah, the real problem is when they’re essentially guessing or buying based on hype, then making subsequent judgments based on short-term noise. That’s much more like gambling.

And of course there’s also reporting bias. The people who’ve been burned by hype-buying and panic-selling are going to be the same people who call it gambling or claim that institutions are somehow targeting them personally.
