I agree, but legislation would ultimately supplement that and reinforce the need to scrape select sources instead of everything. Right now, companies can do anything with little oversight/regulation, and have shown themselves incapable of being selective, likely in the name of profit. If they can't effectively manage their data sets to ensure accurate information for the general population, then I don't see any other logical choice.
