China has highly favourable conditions as is, the 2 carrier groups were lost because they were in the SCS at start of hostilities as a show of force, but does mean that Carrier groups can be dealt with if they do enter the region and will have to play it carefully from standoff range. Massively damaging their capabilities.

But its generally best to plan for non ideal circumstances anyway as that's when they would be likely to strike.

It will be a hard fought battle either way, I don't see it happening though. It will destroy China and Taiwan
