One thing that scares me with crypto is how sensitive it is to monetary policy. It seems to swing down hard whenever the Fed raises rates, making it more volatile than stocks. Whenever inflation ticks up, crypto crashes hard. So it’s really bad in the short term. Given that we also don’t know how to value it in a forward looking manner, it’s also not useful for long-term investments.

I’m just not sure what buying crypto is supposed to accomplish for me.
