the Vatican does have medical doctors to evaluate cases ftr.

like 1. there's still just a lot we absolutely do not understand so there's still a lot of room for attribution and 2. there are still a lot of things where the limits of medical intervention seem to have been exhausted, and yet someone recovers. that's what the Vatican MDs are examining (although, I am interested in how up to date their practices are). and sure maybe it happens all the time. but that's survivorship bias, because it sure as hell happens wayyy less often than people dying because they couldn't be saved.
