Agreed! I was so excited to finally get access to the Mac app but was also disappointed with its slowness. It also has a couple UI downgrades, IMO:

* Code blocks aren't dark-themed. I prefer how the web client has dark code blocks with an otherwise light theme, making them standout better. * Chat background becomes slightly translucent when the app is in the foreground. I thought it was a trick on my eyes until I moved ChatGPT halfway over a white window and my dark wallpaper, then alternated clicking it and the Desktop. It's subtle but noticeable.
