\[If debt owed to the govt can be forgiven and doesn't add to the national debt, why doesn't Congress just loan every American citizen $1,000,000/year every Jan 1 and forgive it every 12/31? We'd all be rich.\]

because that money would be added to the debt when it's given out to people. This is different from forgiving money that was already doled out 10+ years ago. you really arent very good at this are you?

\[You simply don't know what you're talking about.\]

\[Gee, what could have happened in 2020 to depress results under Trump?\]

even if you take out the COVID year he still had terrible revenue. in 2016 it was at $3.17T and in 2019 it was at $3.46T. that's a measly $0.29T increase in revenues which isnt even half of the amount Obama had or half the amount Joe currently has.

-

\[The point is the people who said Trump's tax cuts caused huge deficits were wrong. It was increased spending\]

this is simply false. his tax cuts did add to the deficit as cutting your revenue flow but not changing your spending habits will cause your deficit for that year to grow. Even before the CIVID times the deficit was skyrocketing under Trump. In 2016 it was at $0.59T. in 2018 it was at $0.78T and in 2020 it was at $3.13T.

As always, It's the democrat presidents that have to pick up the ruined economies that their republican predecessor left them.
