I’m thinking about opening an individual taxable brokerage account. I have about $20k to invest, and thinking of just investing into one fund in the S&P 500 ETF like VOO for the next 30 years. In terms of monthly contributions, I’m thinking $200 / month as I’m already maxing out my contributions for my 401k and Roth IRA. The S&P 500 index has an average return of 10% — give or take.

When plugging in the known variables, I believe it does amount to roughly $850k. Is my math correct? What else would or should consider when calculating?
