Fast and Furious was a huge mistake as well. It was well intended but they messed up. But it highlights the same issue- lack of controls and straw buyers.

It would be interesting to see if gun makers even know where their products are going. Like if I made a million AR or AK rifles in a year, there must be data showing legal ownership numbers don’t match purchase numbers, thereby showing weapons must be purchased and sent across the border or to illegal owners(gangs etc)
