I think the answer is to approach it on a case by case basis. For instance another Trump presidency probably means you don't want to put half your portfolio into fossil fuel stocks. Because we're gonna drill, and the supply issue will be gone within a year. So will those inflated oil/gas stocks, and the price at the pump.
So action is definitely necessary, but it's just not gonna be an easy thing to navigate. People are gonna have to read, and THINK. But moving your money to safe/stable investments isn't necessarily a panic move. It's a capital preservation thing. If you have better ideas about where to put your money I say go for it. But me? I'll be sitting in a MM fund until one of them either concedes, or is no longer taken seriously when they refuse to. Because I'd rather miss a possible 20% while taking only 5% to avoid waiting and watching for a portfolio to recover.
